Where learning is personal
Millie's Place is a small, joyful K–3 learning community in DFW where teaching is shaped to your child's pace, strengths, and story — with caring one-on-one support woven into every day.
Now welcoming 5 founding families for the 2026–2027 launch year
Our Story
Millie's Place was founded by Amy Rich and Crystal Fernandez — an educator and a board-certified behavior analyst — who came together out of a shared conviction: that children who learn differently deserve more than accommodation. They deserve a school designed with them in mind from the very start.
We believe every child has the capacity to grow, connect, and thrive when they are truly met where they are. That belief is not aspirational for us. It is personal.
Our Mission
To give every child a warm, joyful place to learn — where teaching is personal, support is built in, and every child is seen, supported, and celebrated.
Our Vision
A world where no family is told their child doesn't fit — because the school was designed to fit them.
Who We Serve
Our launch program is for children who shine brightest with more individual attention than a traditional classroom can give. If any of these sound like your family, we'd love to meet you.
Wherever you are in your journey, you are welcome here. Our first step is always simply to listen.
Our Approach
Behind the scenes, our team brings deep training and proven methods. What your child experiences is simpler: a place that feels like theirs — not therapy, not catch-up. Just a school where they can show up as themselves and grow.
One-on-one behavior and learning support (including ABA) happens naturally inside the school day — in the classroom, at recess, everywhere — never as a pull-out or an interruption.
Lessons and pacing shaped around how your child actually learns — not how a standardized system expects them to.
A place where being different is the starting point, not something to overcome.
You are the expert on your child. We build alongside you — not for you.
Getting Started
We begin every relationship the same way: by listening. Here's what the process looks like.
A short form — about 2 minutes. No commitment, no paperwork.
Amy or Crystal will personally contact you within 2 business days to set up a call.
A warm, one-on-one conversation. You share your child's story, your hopes, your questions.
If it feels like a fit, we'll talk through next steps — with no rush and no pressure.
We'd be honored to hear your family's story — and to explore whether Millie's Place might be the right next step. It starts with a short form and a friendly call. That's it.
